Jazz Foundations I is an energetic and exciting class designed for dancers ages 5–9 who are ready to jump, turn, leap, and move! This beginner-level class introduces the fundamentals of jazz dance while helping students develop coordination, flexibility, strength, musicality, and confidence.
Dancers will learn basic jazz technique, stretching, across-the-floor progressions, jumps, turns, and age-appropriate combinations set to fun and upbeat music. Students will also build important classroom skills, performance quality, and body awareness in a positive and encouraging environment.
Whether your dancer is brand new to dance or looking to expand their training, Jazz Foundations I is the perfect place to build a strong foundation while developing a love for movement and performance.
Jazz Foundations II
Ages 10–12 | Thursdays | 6:00–6:45 PM
Jazz Foundations II is designed for dancers ages 10–12 who are ready to build upon their technique and develop stronger performance skills in a fun and challenging environment. This class focuses on the fundamentals of jazz dance while introducing more advanced movement, combinations, and musicality.
Dancers will work on flexibility, strength, coordination, turns, leaps, kicks, and across-the-floor progressions while learning proper jazz technique and terminology. Students will also explore performance quality, confidence, and stage presence through engaging choreography and movement exercises.
